Marbled end papers with full colour pictures on reverse. 16 full colour illustrations by John Tenniel, but one missing (The Caterpillar and Alice), and one is tatty around edges and detached (The Trial of the Knave of Hearts) and one other plate is loose, all the rest are present and correct. Gilt page edges.
Size – 8 ¼ inches (21cms) x 6 ¼ inches (16cms).
Condition – well-loved copy, bumped corners, spine worn and faded, personalised in pen to front inner page, binding still quite tight and pages bright, clean and clear.
