Interesting candlestick made from the teak of HMS Terrible (1895-1932).
Attached to the base is a brass plate, which reads as follows:
“FROM THE TEAK OF HMS TERRIBLE WHOSE GUNS DELIVERED LADYSMITH”.
Measures – 7 ¼ inches tall.
Diameter of base measures – 4 inches.
Very faintly visible on the bottom of the base is the makers mark, Lister Wood Craft.
Condition – in good order no splits or cracks and the brass sconce that holds the bottom of the candle is there.
