The WHW, Winterhilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes (Winter Relief of the German People) was a yearly drive by the Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt (National Socialist People’s Welfare) to help fund charity work. It ran from October to March, 1933 to 1945 and helped to provide clothing, fuel food etc during the winter months to the poorer citizens of Germany.
