Victorian Silver Brush and Tray, London 1898.

Here we have a bit of a marriage with two different dates, but they work so well together that we think they should stay together.

Heavily decorated brush and tray, they have been personalised but we are struggling to work out the initials, possibly BL or SL.

Tray:

Makers mark – G & S Co Ltd, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd.

Assay mark – leopards head, London.

Date letter – d, 1899.

Weight – 75 grams.

Measures – 8 ¼ inches (21cms) long x 2 ¾ inches (7cms) wide.

Brush:

Makers mark – WG JL, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co

Assay mark – leopards head, London.

Date letter – c, 1898.

Weight – 65 grams.

Measures – 6 ½ inches (16.5cms) long x 1 ¾ inches (4.5cms) wide.

Very, very nice, a couple of really good Victorian pieces of silver.
