Very pretty china tea set for six people.
Made by New Chelsea, Staffordshire.
Pattern – Sherwood.
Date – 1930s.
Transfer printed and hand finished. Gilt decoration to edges and handles.
Set comprises of the following;
6 x tea cups. Dimensions – 7.4cms tall, 8.3cms rim diameter.
6 x saucers. Dimensions – 14.2cms in diameter.
6 x tea plates. Dimensions – 15.2cms edge to edge, 17.2cms corner to corner.
1 x cake plate. Dimensions - 22cms edge to edge, 25cms corner to corner.
1 x sugar bowl. Dimensions – 7cms tall, 12cms in diameter across the rim.
1 x milk jug. Dimensions – 10.3cmsd tall.
Condition – absolutely lovely. Looks like it was mainly a cabinet set. No damage anywhere and gilding nice and bright.
